The RACV Energy Breakthrough is an Education event that
encourages Ôlearning by doingÕ
and focuses on science, energy
efficiency, technology and
the environment.
Whilst
many spectators see only the finished vehicle and the teamÕs
performances at the event,
most campaigns stretch back months before the
weekend Ð some even back to the year before
as teamÕs begin devising
improvements and innovations.
From
the outside, it may also seem difficult to fathom how three wheeled
vehicles,pushcarts or water models
can fit into a schoolÔs curriculum,
but once you think about the different aspects of the event Ð
itÕs hard
to find a subject where the Breakthrough couldnÕt be applied!
Schools have identified the following curriculum areas as having links
to the RACV Energy Breakthrough: technology studies, science, English,
arts, environmental science, maths, accounting, computer studies and
health and physical education.
Into The
Future:
Subsequently, the Country Education Project developed - ÔInto the
Future -
Õ -
