What will we look for? Which teams must attend?

The principal focus of the day is to check all vehicles with non-metal rollbars and occupant protection bars.

However, any team with any design and construction query will be welcome to use this opportunity to meet with RACV scrutineers.

These days are offered in accordance with Secton 4.1.3 of the Vehicle Specifications, found in the Handbook, relating to Composites:

"All newly constructed human powered and energy efficient vehicles with any of their protection bars made from composite materials (eg. Carbon Fibre, fibre glass or kevlar) MUST have the vehicle inspected by an RACV official at a Pre-Scrutineering Day prior to the Energy Breakthrough event."

Other teams who have queries about any other construction issues will also be welcome.

What should teams bring?

On the day, teams should bring:

• their vehicle,
• a sample cross section of protection bar materials, &
• 1-3 people who have been involved in the construction of the vehicle.

Will we still need to be Scrutineered in Maryborough at the event?
Yes, vehicles will still need to complete Scrutineering at the RACV Energy Breakthrough event in Maryborough in November.
