2007 RACT Insurance Challenge
A great success!

Second and First - HP Racing and the Ex-Pats :: Image courtesy of Energy Education Australia. The third annual RACT INSURANCE CHALLENGE has been declared a great success by the organisers, and whilst it rained again the track soon dried and the rest of the day mainly fine!

With the awards spread between the locals and Victorian contingents throughout the classes, there was some close attention at the front of the field between some of the front runners.

Event Organiser, Gary Adderton, has emailed through the results and a quick overview of the day:

"The many congratulations, comments and feed back from the visiting interstate teams, the public and many, many others certainly justifies the months of planning, preparation and coordination of an event like this."

The massive pit shed kept everyone dry, although the rain stayed away for most of the event. :: Image courtesy of Energy Education Australia.   Image courtesy of Energy Education Australia.  Image courtesy of Energy Education Australia.   Image courtesy of Energy Education Australia.

A comment from one of the visiting Victorian teams …"to see our school grow and develop from being one of the worst in our state to one in which we can be proud and then to cap it all off by coming down to Tassie and the students having such a ball... is the ultimate in any teachers experience... thankyou Rosny, we’re already planning next year…."

It was ‘accident-wise’ quite an uneventful day (thankyou everyone once again for riding with other’s safety in mind!), the Hobart Private Ambulance woman had little to do all day, though I did see her cheering on some of the teams, thanks HBA.

The fourth RACT INSURANCE CHALLENGE is to be held on April 27th 2008!

Planning is already underway and the first thing that will help to make it an even better event in 2008 is for participants and spectators to give the event organisers some feedback or comments as soon as possible.
They would appreciate just a short statement or two on issues that you think are important, what can be improved or added.
